Ingredients
  

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 2 tbsp honey optional, for extra caramelization
  • Fresh parsley chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Drumsticks

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  • Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels, then rub them all over with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, ensuring they’re evenly coated.

Bake the Drumsticks

  • Place the drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they’re not touching. Bake for 25 minutes.

Brush with BBQ Sauce

  • Remove the drumsticks from the oven and generously brush them with barbecue sauce on all sides. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F and the sauce is caramelized.

Optional Broil

  • For extra crispy edges, broil the drumsticks for 2–3 minutes at the end of baking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.

Serve

  • Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot with extra barbecue sauce for dipping.
