- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 15 oz can beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 8 oz spaghetti cooked
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Heat olive oil in a large pot. Brown ground beef, then drain excess grease.
Stir in onion, cook for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic and tomato paste. Cook 1 minute.
Pour in tomato sauce, broth, Worcestershire, and vinegar. Stir well.
Add cocoa powder, chili powder, cinnamon, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, allspice, cloves, and brown sugar. Simmer 30-40 minutes.
Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
To serve, place spaghetti on plates, top with chili, then pile on shredded cheddar.
