Easy Chili (3-Way Cincinnati Style)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 15 oz can beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 8 oz spaghetti cooked
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot. Brown ground beef, then drain excess grease.
  • Stir in onion, cook for 3-4 minutes, then add garlic and tomato paste. Cook 1 minute.
  • Pour in tomato sauce, broth, Worcestershire, and vinegar. Stir well.
  • Add cocoa powder, chili powder, cinnamon, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, allspice, cloves, and brown sugar. Simmer 30-40 minutes.
  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  • To serve, place spaghetti on plates, top with chili, then pile on shredded cheddar.
