- 1 pound ground beef or lamb
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 3 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
Brown ground beef/lamb with onion and garlic in a skillet. Drain any excess grease.
Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire, thyme, salt, pepper, frozen veggies, and broth. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Spread mashed potatoes over the meat mixture. Add cheddar cheese on top if desired.
